Free Credit Report

May 2nd, 2025 8:39 AM by Sam Kader MLO130505

We recommend that you request to opt-out of firm offers of credit or insurance prior to pulling credit report and to register yourself on the Do Not Call Registry to avoid trigger lead companies. We do not share your personal information; however, the 3 major credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) do.  The free credit report from AnnualCreditReport.com does not include your credit score—only your credit history. However, you can purchase your credit score from the credit bureaus after accessing your free report.

Here’s how:

Step-by-Step Instructions to Obtain Your Credit Report & Score

Step 1: Go to the Official Website

  • Visit AnnualCreditReport.com.
  • Ensure you are on the official site, as it is the only federally authorized source for free credit reports.

Step 2: Start Your Request

  • Click on "Request your free credit reports."

Step 3: Enter Your Personal Information

You will need to provide:

  • Full legal name
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Current address (and previous address if you’ve lived there for less than two years)

Step 4: Choose Which Credit Reports to Request

  • You can select reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
  • You may request one, two, or all three reports.

Step 5: Verify Your Identity

  • Answer security questions about your credit history.
  • Each bureau may ask different questions.

Step 6: View and Download Your Credit Report

  • After verifying your identity, you can view and save your free credit report from each bureau.
