2026 County Recorders’ Office Holiday Schedule – PSA & Closing Timing
Shown above is the 2026 holiday schedule for County Recorders’ Offices, highlighting dates that should be considered when drafting Purchase and Sale Agreements (PSAs) or when refinancing, particularly when calculating required waiting periods.
Please take these holidays into account when writing PSAs. We recommend downloading and keeping this calendar readily available and paying close attention to the highlighted dates. King, Pierce, and Snohomish County Recorders’ Offices will be closed on the days noted above in blue, and no documents can be recorded on those days.
Under TRID requirements, a document called the Closing Disclosure (CD) must be delivered to the homebuyer at least three business days prior to closing. Please review and download this calendar to determine the earliest possible closing date based on the CD delivery date. A Closing Disclosure delivered by email is treated the same as a hand-delivered CD for timing purposes.
For refinance transactions, a three-business-day right of rescission is required after the final loan documents are signed and before the loan may fund or record. This period allows homeowners time to cancel the refinance should they reconsider. Based on the signing date and the required rescission period, please refer to the calendar to determine how soon a refinance may close.
