Now that you have signed your Purchase Contract or we have received everything for your refinancing, the next step is to firm-up your home financing. All of your initial loan disclosures can be e-signed (except a few that must be ink-signed. I will provide those forms to you separately).

Steps in E-Signing with Plaza Home Mortgage

Step 1: You will receive an email invitation to e-sign. Click on the blue link "Doc Link" to start.

Step 2: Please enter the following information as prompted:

Step 3: Multi-factor Authentication. The next step, you will be asked the method that you would like the code to be sent to you. The last 4 digits of your phone number will appear on the screen.

  • Text Message – this option will send a text message with the code to your phone.
  • Phone Call – this option will call your phone number and verbally read the code to you.
  • After they have checked the appropriate option, click on the SEND CODE.

NOTE: If you do not receive the code within 15 minutes, start the process over again. If you are unable to access your disclosures, they will be dropped into the USPS Mail and sent to you.

Non-Borrowing Entity - If you are a Non-Borrowing Entity signing in to provide your electronic signature (e-signature) on the Closing Disclosure but have not provided Plaza Home Mortgage with the last 4 digits of your social security number (SSN), you will need to enter the last 4-digits of the primary borrowers SSN.

Step 4 : Before you can proceed you must review the Electronic Records & Signatures Agreement.

  • To accept the terms of the agreement, click the button ACCEPT.
  • To decline the terms of the agreement, click the button DECLINE.

By accepting the Consent to Receive Electronic Loan Documents you have given your one-time consent for future use of electronic records and signatures, and you will not have to give your consent prior to e-signing subsequent document packages.

By declining the Consent to Receive Electronic Loan Documents your document package will be sent in the mail, and you will be prompted to review and either accept or decline the terms of the agreement for subsequent document packages.

Step 5: If you click DECLINE, you will be asked if you are sure you want to decline the use of electronic records and signatures.

  • If you do not wish to decline consent, click no.
  • If you wish to decline consent,
  • click yes.

Step 6: You can confirm your consent has been declined if this screen displays and you receive an email notification.

Step 7:  If you wish to withdraw your consent at any time, click in the right hand corner of the screen and select Withdraw consent.

Step 8:. You will then be asked if you are sure you want to withdraw consent for future use of electronic records and signatures.

NOTE: You can also withdraw your consent by mailing Plaza Home Mortgage at the following address:

Step 9:  You can confirm your consent has been withdrawn if this screen displays and you receive an email notification.

Step 10:  Once you consent to e-signing, each document requiring a signature will display a yellow tab and to begin signing the documents click Start.

Step 11:  To include your e-signature on the document, select either one of the Sign buttons next to the signature line.

  • Once you click Sign, your e-signature and date will appear then you will be automatically moved to the next document requiring a signature.

NOTE: If you exit the e-signature portal without signing all documents, your progress will be bookmarked, and you can return to finish signing the documents within seven (7) days from when the initial email was sent.

PLEASE NOTE: If multiple signers are required to sign the loan documents, once each individual signs the required documents their e-signature will appear on the document and be visible to subsequent signers.

Step 12:  In your document package you may receive a document which requires you to:

  • Select one option prior to e-signing, please complete the mandatory fields with your selection.
  • Fill in information prior to e-signing, please enter the applicable information if it applies to you and use the Tab key to move between sections, otherwise select Skip this optional textbox to continue moving forward.

  • By selecting SUBMIT, you are submitting the loan documents to Plaza Home Mortgage.
  • Plaza Home Mortgage will receive an email indicating the documents are ready for review.

Step 14: To maintain a copy of these documents for your personal records, select the Download and/or Print icon.

Step 15:  The e-signature process is now complete. You can SIGN OUT at the bottom of the screen.

If you are unable to locate the email from Plaza Home Mortgage after being advised by your Loan Originator that disclosures have been emailed to you, here are three common reasons why this may occur:

  1. The email is in your SPAM Folder. Some systems may think that the disclosure email is SPAM and auto-route the email to your SPAM or JUNK folder.
  2. Incorrect email address. It is possible that the email address was incorrect. Please confirm with your Loan Originator the correct email address.
  3. The email was deleted accidentally. Please check your DELETE or TRASH folder and look for an email with the subject line with “Plaza Home Mortgage” in it.
